Hi everyone,
Although it's probably only been a couple of weeks since I went to Primark, another visit was well overdue. These are some of the goodies I picked up this weekend.
A good basic t-shirt for £4 - great for layering up with cardigans in spring or under jumpers.
I fell in love with this t-shirt. It's not a phrase I've heard of before but it's so true (plus it has glitter!)
I've been wanting a pair of high top trainers for a while. These were £10 and floral. They're well padded and even if they only last a season, I reckon they're a good buy for spring. Keep an eye out for these in future posts!

Grey day - OOTD
Hi everyone,
I seemed to end up wearing various shades of grey earlier in the week. I did for a fleeting moment consider a 50 shades themed post but thought that was just too much for my little blog!
This shirt is so old. But I've never found anything better to replace it so I keep hoping and praying that it never wears out. It's from Peacocks and is great for dressing up and down.
I don't quite know what was going on here! A very unflattering pose. Anyway, I popped a starry jumper from Marks and Spencer on top. It's a few years old but I've noticed a few items for sale recently with stars so I rescued it from the charity bag and decided to give it another go.
More stars, a few clouds and I'm ready to go!
It wasn't a completely grey day, my old faithful trainers from TU @ Sainsburys made an appearance too!
Bit of an unusual outfit for me - I normally wear more colour. But a change is good occasionally.

Benefit Roller Lash
Hi everyone,
I've seen lots and lots of reviews of this new product from Benefit. There's a free sample with this months edition of Elle. So here's what I thought of it.
Bu first of all I have to say - I am no expert on make-up! Most days I wear none at all and I'm normally seen running through the beauty departments like a hunted rabbit. I tend to stick with what I know and I have to admit I don't like to spend a lot on something I won't use a lot. The one product I will tend to use more than anything though is a mascara as I think it helps make me look more awake (perfect for those mornings where you have to try to be as alert as possible), so anything new on the market that's mascara related catches my attention.
Oh my goodness - excuse the early morning just got of bed face! But hopefully it gives you some idea of the before and after.
The sample is a very small - but perfect for popping in an overnight or holiday bag. Overall impression - I would seriously consider buying the full size product - which basically is a big thumbs up from me. It didn't feel clumpy and definitely gave a curling effect. No irritation and it lasted for most of the day. For someone who wants a quick and easy product - it ticked all the boxes.

Valentines OOTD
Hi everyone,
Well, that's Valentines day done and dusted for another year. I'm in two minds about the whole day. As much as I like a bit of romance (ok - a lot!) it seems forced to do it on the one day. I think romance and love are found in lots of different places and actions.
However, I do like a themed day - so here's what I wore:
The jumper is an oldie from George @ Asda. It's a size 20 and there's plenty of wiggle room there. The necklace is Accessorize. I love their plastic jewellery and this is still available on their website.

Is it a watch - is it a necklace? Or just more owls
Hi everyone,
Well I promised you all more owls and here they are. After a friend asking me if I liked owls (which I didn't think I did), I'm just realising how much they've crept into my wardrobe.
This is a watch/pendant/necklace that I picked up recently. I'm going to be a bad blogger and admit that I can't tell you the name of the shop - just that it was in Fuerterventura airport! (holiday updates to follow soon).
It wasn't very expensive and to be honest - I'm not expecting the watch part of it to last very long. But the colours and the chunkiness of it appealed. I'm not a fan of fine and delicate jewellery - I'm always worried I'll break it. This has a solid feel and long chain - expect to see it in upcoming blog pictures soon.

Bunny jumper OOTD
Hi everyone,
I've decided I'm going to try hard to remember to take more photos during the week of what I wear. I'm very guilty of only remembering to take pictures as soon as I put my PJs on!
Today was a casual day (let's be honest - I work from home - 90% of my wardrobe is casual!). It would appear I have a real soft spot for Joe Brown clothes, be it dresses, skirts, tunics or as we have here - bunny jumpers (I suspect it's technically a hare, but bunny sounds nicer).
I love the tail detail on the bunny/hare - makes me smile every time I wear it!
I teamed the jumper with a pair of jeans and these great boots from F&F at Tesco. I bought them just before Christmas, so they may not be in stock anymore. I'm finding that F&F are a great place for footwear. I wear a 6.5 and their selection of spring/summer pumps over the last few years have been the best. These boots were a bargain £25 and are as comfy as anything.

Joe Brown's owls OOTD
Hi everyone,
I can't believe we're in February already. I always think of a February as a bit of a reward for getting through January. It's shorter (less time to pay day) and hopefully thoughts of Spring will soon be on the way.
I visited Dartford last week so while I was staying up there up there I attempted to take some photos for a long overdue OOTD.
It's really hard to get photos of the back of an outfit! Especially when all you have is a hotel mirror. But I think you get the general idea. It certainly reminded me I was overdue for a hair cut.
Later in the day a friend asked me if I liked owls - I said not particularly. Then looked at what I was wearing. It seems without realising owls have crept into my wardrobe. Not sure how I feel about that really. But keep an eye out, there'll be more owls on this blog before the end of the month.
Now while I was up there, the news kept giving us all dire forecasts of snow, ice, thundersnow, the end of the world etc. So I was pleasantly surprised to wake up one morning to this lovely view. I love a bit of snow, but not when I have to drive long distances in it!
I still wrapped up warm though
